RV Owner Tips
Tire & Wheel Preventive Maintenance
1. Visually Inspect Tires:
a. Look for imperfections in the tread & cracks in the side wall.

- Sidewall: Look for cracks as these are the leading cause to tire blow outs. Small surface cracks - are okay. Large cracks need further inspection.
2. Check your tire pressure coming and going from EVERY TRIP:
a. Please be mindful that every unit is different - so check the side wall of the tire or there will be a sticker on your RV indicating the tire & loading Information
b. The max load is listed, just locate it and ensure you are keeping within the loaded max.
3. Lug Nuts:
- Always tighten lug nuts when you are leaving for your trip and for your return home. Check them EVERY trip!
4. Inspect shackles & springs:
- Always take a look for cracks, and irregular wear or any new dents or issues. These could be detrimental to the life of the shackles and or springs.
5. When your unit is being stored it is a good idea to utilize UV protectant prevention:
a. Sun really does some serious damage to the tires & can cause dry rot.
